The trail
See the route before you go
Starting point
Begin at the designated public parking area near the woodland access point. Follow the main paved entrance towards the waymarked trails.
What to bring
Sturdy walking shoes or trail trainers with good grip, a fully charged smartphone with plenty of battery life, weather-appropriate layers, a waterproof jacket, and drinking water.
Terrain & accessibility
A mix of surfaced gravel trails, woodland dirt tracks, and flat canal towpaths. Sections can become muddy and slick after rainfall.
Safety
Stay strictly to established paths at all times. Supervise children closely near open water, steep embankments, and road crossings. Be mindful of fellow trail users, cyclists, and local wildlife.
