The trail
See the route before you go
Starting point
Begin at the main Canada Wood car park area south of Falkirk. Ample public parking is available at the trailhead, with clearly signposted path network boards near the entrance.
What to bring
Sturdy walking shoes or trail trainers with good grip, weather-appropriate layers, a waterproof jacket, plenty of drinking water, and a fully charged smartphone for route guidance.
Terrain & accessibility
Generally gentle and well-maintained forest tracks and dirt trails with occasional uneven tree roots, soft mud after rainfall, and mild gradients throughout.
Safety
Stay on established woodland paths at all times, keep dogs on leads around other walkers or wildlife, take care at path junctions, and ensure children are supervised near ditch edges and timber features.
